Walking In The Light

Walking in the light, seeing in the darkness, knowing in the wilderness, and being connected to spirit at all times. These are the things that bring our mind, body, and soul together. You never know when it is your time, yes, as we age, we accept our time is limited in our physical, mental, and emotional capacity, but people are living longer life span nowadays, and there’s no longer the stigma to old age. You can do anything at any age and at any time in your life. Walking in the light means different things to different people, depending usually on their faith, where they live in the world, and what beliefs and values they hold.

As human beings, we have created habits throughout our life span, which at times are very hard to change or let go of. Creating new healthy habits and letting go of the old can be easier than you think. A great way to let go of an old habit is to write down in a notepad what that habit or routine did for you, and try and replace it with something healthier. An example: I’ve stopped walking every day, and I feel lazy; I’d rather stay in bed than go out in the cold and wet. This is a habit that I create every time Winter sets in and I start hibernating and writing. So today I have written in my notebook, I’ve completed a 30-minute walk in the morning and a 30-minute walk in the evening, I’m feeling refreshed and recharged, ready for a good night’s sleep.

We are all born with six senses, and over time usually in Adolesence we let go of those senses and forget to tap into them throughout our adulthood unless somebody points it out that most of the time we are already trying our best and walking in the light, seeing in the darkness that good old fashioned strength that was given to us passed down from generation to generation that today could be a bad day but tomorrow who knows could be the best day of your life. The Universe works in mysterious ways; there’s no set formula, or routine, or the way it should be, just guidelines and the knowing of what is right and what is wrong as to how we live each day. If we want to connect to the wilderness and enhance our sense of knowing, we need to spend time in nature, restoring our energy field, connecting to the life force that surrounds us, helps us breathe, and gives us eternal life. Taking the time to be in nature will lift your spirit, cleanse you, and help you restore balance in your mind, body, and soul.

Today, make it the day that you walk in the light, see the world from a different point of view, and trust in the unknown to guide you through the darkness. I believe in you.
